Mid-America Power Center was incorporated in April of 2001 as a result of the closing of all Wis-Con Total Power Corporation facilities. Wis-Con Total Power was the manufacturer of Wisconsin and Continental engines from 1992, when they purchased the company from Teledyne Industries, until 2001 when the company was liquidated.

During the 30+ years of ownership by Teledyne and Wis-Con Total Power, the factory owned a number of distribution centers located around the country that went under the name of The Power Center or Minnesota Power Center. When the liquidation of Wis-Con Total Power took place, the Power Center in Waukesha, Wisconsin and Minnesota Power Center in St. Paul, Minnesota were the only distribution centers left. With the purchase of the assets from these two Power Centers, Mid-America Power Center was formed in St. Paul, Minnesota. The staff of Mid-America Power Center were employees of Wis-Con Total Power with over 60 years of product knowledge and experience.

Mid-America Power Center is a distributor for Wisconsin Motors, LLC, which is the company, formed from the liquidated assets of the headquarters and production facilities of Wis-Con Total Power Corporation. Wisconsin Motors, LLC still manufactures Wisconsin engines and currently is updating both the Wisconsin and the TM Continental series of engines to be compliant with EPA regulations.

In addition to purchasing all of the assets from these two Power Centers, Mid-America Power Center also purchased all Continental R Series parts, engines and product information from Wis-Con Total Power and currently import the parts to support that engine in its many applications. Some of the applications of the R Series engines are Toro, Jacobsen, Ransomes, FMC, Case, Swinger, Hefty, Gravely, Worthington, Allis Chalmers, and Wheel Horse to name some of the major OEMs.

Mid-America Power Center has taken the stance that they will maintain as complete as possible, an inventory of Wisconsin and Continental engines and parts to properly support these engines in their many applications. Along with a strong inventory, our support staff is second to none and is capable of correctly identifying our customers needs and supplying the correct parts or information in a timely manner.
